A hand-knotted rug needs more care than an ordinary wash. We test the dyes for colourfastness before any water touches it, then clean it to suit the wool or silk. Quoted on inspection, with free pickup and delivery across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

What's included
Care that matches the rug.
- Colour-tested and quoted first. We check the dyes for bleed, note any weak spots in the pile or fringe, and send you the plan and the price. Nothing starts until you approve it.
- Dust cleared from the roots. A hand-knotted rug holds kilos of fine grit deep in the pile. We draw it out before washing, which a quick surface clean skips.
- Cleaned to suit the fibre. Wool, silk and viscose each need a different method and water temperature, and we clean each one accordingly.
- Dried flat and finished. We dry the rug flat and out of direct heat so it holds its shape, then groom the pile and comb the fringe before it comes back.
Antique & delicate rugs
Older and delicate rugs, handled gently.
If your rug is antique, hand-knotted or a family piece, tell us when you book. We test a small area first and clean at a low temperature, so the fibres and dyes are not stressed. Odours and pet accidents are treated at the same time, down to the base of the pile rather than masked.
